In interviews with some of them, they talk about how forced migration has changed their perceptions of home, what it means for their attitudes towards Ukraine, and whether they feel it is possible to find a home from home.

Parents’ perceptions of the main changes in their children’s schooling relate to a shift from teacher-centred education in Ukraine to learner-centred education in Germany. This trend matches the aim of a major school reform in Ukraine.

This has important implications for the framing of evacuation messages. Messages that contain clear evacuation instructions are more likely to be followed.
