Russian Canadians: Views on Politics, History, and Society

On 10 June 2025, Félix Krawatzek and Hakob Matevosyan presented research findings from the MoveMeRU research project during an online briefing at Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The presentation, titled ‘Russian Canadians: Views on Politics, History, and Society,’ was based on a representative survey of more than 500 people of Russian or Russian-speaking origin in Canada and over 1,800 people from the general Canadian population. The aim of the study was to gauge the attitudes of Russian Canadians toward politics, history, and society and compare them with those of the general population.
The presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session with GAC staff.
