„Ist die Demokratie erst ruiniert…“ – Polen und die Schwierigkeit, eine verlorene Demokratie wiederzugewinnen

On 24 October 2025 at 5 p.m., our PI Félix Krawatzek will give a lecture at the Kulturhalle Rödermark entitled: ‘Once democracy is ruined... Poland and the difficulty of regaining a lost democracy’.

The lecture is part of the symposium ‘Democracy under Pressure,’ which the Oswald von Nell Breuning School is organising together with the city of Rödermark on 24 and 25 October 2025.

At a time when liberal democracies around the world are under pressure, the lecture series brings together renowned scholars and experts to discuss key challenges for democratic societies. Topics range from authoritarian tendencies and right-wing nationalist movements to social cohesion, the rule of law and trust in political institutions.

In addition to Félix Krawatzek, speakers will include Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Heitmeyer, Prof. Dr. Nicole Deitelhoff, Prof. Dr. Johannes Völz, Dr. Raphael Bossong and Prof. Dr. Dr. Maximilian Pichl.
