All Roads Lead to…the Family? Political Socialisation Among Migrants and Non-Migrants
How are political beliefs, historical narratives and feelings of belonging passed down across generations when migration, political upheaval or new social contexts change familiar frameworks?
To kick off our conference ‘All Roads Lead to...the Family? Political Socialisation Among Migrants and Non-Migrants,’ we invite you to a public event that will address the challenges of intergenerational political socialisation.
The focus will be on our current research findings on Russian-Germans in Germany, followed by a discussion on comparable experiences in Turkish migrant families. Finally, a poster walk will offer insights into the different methodological approaches – from surveys and focus groups to social media analyses.
