Biography

Yuliya Bidenko holds an MA in Sociology (2004) and a PhD in Political Science (2009). She is associate professor and coordinator of the master’s programme Global Studies and World Politics in the political science department at Karazin Kharkiv National University. She has held research fellowships at the Institute für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen (IWM-Vienna, 2022), at the Department of Civil Society Studies at Charles University (Prague, 2018), and at the Center for Advanced Studies and Education at the European Humanities University (Vilnius, 2012–2013). Dr Bidenko has collaborated with the European Union’s Delegation to Ukraine on the ‘Team Europe’ initiative since 2016. She is an alumna of the European Union Visitors Programme (2018), the Aspen Institute-Kyiv International Seminars Program (2019), and the Ukrainian School of Political Studies by the Council of Europe (2014). She also collaborates with Ukrainian and foreign media and NGOs as an expert and trainer.
