Memory and Democracy

Félix Krawatzek will be attending the 10th Annual Memory Studies Association Conference, which will take place in Buenos Aires from 28 July to 1 August 2026. He will present the paper “Extinguished Fire? Estonia’s fractured mnemonic landscape” on 31 July at 3.45 pm as part of the session “10.11 Vernacular voices included and excluded”.

The conference will be attended by academics from various countries and disciplines who study memory as a political, social and cultural phenomenon. The conference is taking place in a city and region with a long and vibrant tradition of engaging with these issues.
