Guest Stay at the University of Passau

During the summer months, our doctoral candidate Sophia Winkler is spending time at the University of Passau to further network with the Chair of Political Communication with a focus on Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet region. The chair's holder, Florian Töpfl, supervises her PhD thesis jointily with Félix Krawatzek.

In the first week of June, project PI Félix Krawatzek will also spend a few days on site to discuss common research interests. Specifically, he will present the paper ‘When Histories Collide, Do Identities Shift? Comparing the Digital Homeland among Migrant Generations’ in a workshop on 4 June. Other topics of discussion will include overarching considerations on sampling and further possibilities for social science research on people with a migration background.
