15th Conference of the 'Genealogies of Memory'

On September 18, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. (CET), Félix Krawatzek and Sophia Winkler will present their paper "When Histories Collide, Do Identities Shift? Comparing the Digital Homeland Among Migrant Generations" as part of the panel "Politics of Memory in the Present." at the Genealogies of Memory conference.

The Genealogies of Memory 2025 conference, titled "What Remains from the Second World War? Remnants, Memories and Narratives Revised," will take place from September 17 to 19, 2025, at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. It will explore how the material and cultural remnants of the Second World War continue to shape historical consciousness and what challenges this poses for cultures of remembrance today. The conference is organized by the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity and the Federal Institute for Culture and History of Eastern Europe.
