Women in the Transmission of History

How do women shape collective memory? As part of our new cooperation series with Museum Berlin-Karlshorst, Writing History: World War II in Literature and Research, in our opening event on 13 February, 2025, we focus on female voices in remembrance culture.

In conversation with filmmaker and author Irene Langemann (The Memory of Daughters) and historian Dr. Alina Bothe, we explore how memories are passed down through families and societies—and the pivotal role women play in this process.
