Participants

  • Andrey Kurkov is a Ukrainian novelist, essayist, President of PEN Ukraine, and author of more than 20 novels and of 10 books for children. His novels are translated in 37 languages. He lives in Kiev, Ukraine.
  • Yuriy Serebriansky is a Kazakhstani writer and cultural researcher of Polish origin. He is the author of 7 volumes of poetry, prose and non-fiction. He is also a two-time laureate of the Russian Prize in Short Prose, a participant in the 2017 International Writers’ Program at the University of Iowa, and a member of PEN Kazakhstan

Russophone Voices is the collaborative project of Naomi Caffee (Reed College, USA), Miriam Finkelstein (University of Graz, Austria), Nina Friess (ZOiS Berlin, Germany) and Marco Puleri (University of Bologna, Italy). Our purpose is to bring together authors, scholars, critics, and readers from around the world for a series of public conversations on contemporary Russophone literature.
