Angelika Markowska has been a trainee in research communication at ZOiS since April 2025. She studied Political Science and Slavic Studies in Leipzig and Halle (Saale) and completed her Master's degree in European Integration in East Central Europe at Leipzig University in 2024. Her academic journey included study stays in Krakow and Prague. As a research assistant at the Research Centre Global Dynamics in Leipzig, she worked on rule of law perceptions in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. She gained further professional experience in academia and political institutions at the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, the Polish Institute in Berlin (Leipzig office) and the Aleksander Brückner Centre for Polish Studies.
