First issue: Elections in the Ukraine
With the new format ‘To the point’, the Competence Network Interdisciplinary Ukrainian Studies Frankfurt (Oder) – Berlin (KIU) seeks to share academic insights on a range of Ukraine related issues and developments. This new format brings together two contrasting perspectives from Ukrainian academia. Each issue focuses on a current topic, which is analysed from two different perspectives. Through ‘To the point’ KIU realises three of its central objectives: promoting knowledge exchange beyond the boundaries of academia, strengthening Ukraine related dialogue and discourses, as well as increasing public interest in Ukraine related topics.
The first issue of ‘To the point’ focuses on the topic of elections in Ukraine.
The KIU Competence Network is a collaborative project led by the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). Fellow participating organisations include Humboldt University Berlin, Free University Berlin, Berlin- Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, Wissenschaftskolleg Berlin, as well as a number of other partner organisations located both in Ukraine and across Europe. The project is DAAD funded.
