Prof. Dr. Gwendolyn Sasse

Seit dem 1. Oktober 2016 ist Gwendolyn Sasse die Wissenschaftliche Direktorin des ZOiS. Sie ist Professor of Comparative Politics im Department of Politics and International Relations und in der School of Interdisciplinary Area Studies an der University of Oxford sowie Professorial Fellow am Nuffield College und Non-Resident Senior Fellow bei Carnegie Europe. Ihr akademischer Werdegang umfasst ein Studium der Geschichte, Slawistik und Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Hamburg sowie einen MSc und PhD in der Politikwissenschaft an der London School of Economics. Im Anschluss an ihre Promotion war sie zunächst Assistant Professor an der Central European University und dann Lecturer/Senior Lecturer an der London School of Economics, bevor sie 2007 nach Oxford ging, wo sie 2013 auf eine ordentliche Professur berufen wurde.
