Call for papers: ceecon 24
On 7 and 8 October 2024, the German Association for East European Studies (DGO), the Freie Universität Berlin and ZOiS will host the second Congress of Central and East European Studies (ceecon24) in Berlin. Ceecon is the largest multidisciplinary congress on Central and Eastern Europe in the German-speaking world. It provides the international research community with an important venue for exchanging and discussing the latest research findings on the region. Deadline for submission of proposals is 18 February 2024.

Café Kyiv is back! Under the motto "The Future of Ukraine in Europe", the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organising the second edition of this event filled with political and cultural discourse. This year, ZOiS and DGO (German Association for East European Studies) will host a panel on the influence of Russia's war on Ukrainian academia and research on Ukraine. The discussion's focus is on mental health and how to deal with traumatising contexts fo researchers both on the ground and outside Ukraine.

New Europe-Wide Research Network on War-Induced Migration from Russia
In the Emerging Russian Diasporas and Anti-war Movements (ERDAM) research network, researchers from various European countries will work together to investigate war-induced migration from Russia with a particular focus on pro-democracy and peace engagement in Russian migrant communities. ERDAM is funded be the German Foundation for Peace Research.
