Liliia Sablina is a PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy, and International Relations at the Central European University (CEU) in Austria. Her research interests include the study of the role that social media plays in co- and re-constructing the practices of nationhood, networked approaches to ethnic mobilisation, and the everyday practices of Russian-speaking minority members in Germany. She has also authored several publications in the field of nationalism studies, including "We Should Stop the Islamisation of Europe!": Islamophobia and Right-Wing Radicalism of Russian-Speaking Internet Users in Germany (2021), published in Nationalities Papers. At ZOiS, Lilia is working with Tatiana Golova on a joint publication dedicated to studying the networks of pro-war activism in Germany formed on social media platforms.
