Elizaveta Sokovnina is a sociologist with a background in political science. She obtained her double master’s degree with honours in Comparative Social Research at Higher School of Economics Moscow and Institute for East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. As an undergraduate, she also studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Edinburgh. From 2019 to 2022, she was a research assistant at the Institute of Applied Political Research at HSE Moscow and conducted several projects employing qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews, ethnography, discourse and narrative analysis.
